Is this a group tour or a private tour?

This is a group tour with up to 20 passengers in the group.  If you would prefer a private version of this program, please contact us. We can arrange for a private mission on your preferred dates. 

What does the tour cost?

The cost of this tour depends on the level of accommodation selected by our guests.

Most of our guests on this tour stay in 3 star hotels being the Maxim Hotel in Tel Aviv (or similar) and the Prima Royale Hotel in Jerusalem (or similar). Assuming that you do so, the cost will be $2190 per person staying in a twin room. A single supplement of $1050 applies.

Some of our guests wish to upgrade to superior hotels such as Hotel Rothschild 65 in Tel Aviv (or similar) and the Leonardo Boutique Hotel in Jerusalem (or similar). If you wish to upgrade and are in a twin room, an additional cost of $300 will apply per person. If you have selected a single supplement, an additional cost of $600 will apply.

Some of our guests also prefer guest houses or youth hostels. If you select this option (noting that you may be placed in a shared room at a youth hostel), the total cost will be $1895 and no single supplement applies.

February Volunteering and Solidarity  Mission Program

Day 1: 20 February 2025: Welcome to a changed Israel

Welcome to Israel. Please make your way to your hotel. We will meet at 8pm and walk to Hostages Square where you will take in sense of Israeli unity and hear from individuals (or their families) who were (and hopefully are no longer) held hostage in Gaza.

You will spend the night in Tel Aviv

Day 2: 21 February 2025: Ground Zero: Bearing witness to the atrocities

This morning you will receive a comprehensive political briefing on the current state of Israeli–Palestinian relations, the threats facing Israel, and the current state of Israeli politics.

You will then board the bus and travel south to the Israeli–Gaza border region.

You will:

  • Tour one of the Kibbutzim devastated by Hamas and meet a spokeswoman from that community;
  • Visit the site of the NOVA music festival massacre and hear from a survivor of the massacre;
  • Tour Sderot, including the destroyed police station and armored playground;
  • Have a chance to speak to locals in Sderot.

You will end your day in Jerusalem where you will have the option of walking to the Kotel for Shabbat.

Day 3: 22 February 2025 - Jerusalem of Gold

Shabbat Shalom.  Today you will enjoy an optional walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem focusing on its four quarters.  You will see:

  • The Jaffa Gate;
  • The Tower of David;
  • The tomb of King David;
  • The Room of the Last Supper;
  • The Kotel;
  • The Hurva Synagogue;
  • The Cardo;
  • The site Temple Mount (without going onto the Temple Mount);
  • The site where Christians believe that Jesus was tried;
  • The Church of the Holy Sepulcher where Jesus is believed to have been crucified.

In the evening you will be briefed by Khaled Abu Tomeh, the Palestinian Affairs Correspondent of the Jerusalem Post. He will discuss the Palestinian education system.

Day 4: 23 Feburary 2025: - Mount Hertzl and volunteering

This morning you will hear from an Israeli solder who served in Gaza.

Afterwards you will tour Mount Hertzl where Israel’s national heroes are buried. You will hear stories of their bravery and pay them your respects.

In the afternoon you will begin volunteering by packing boxes to help the needy, including those whose livelihoods have been impacted by the war. 

Overnight: Jerusalem

Day 5: 24 February 2025: Volunteering and security

This morning you will spend 5 hours volunteering on a farm near the Israeli – Gaza border.

In the afternoon you will return to Jerusalem and tour Israel’s security barrier built to prevent suicide bombings. Your tour will be led by one of the designers of the wall.

Day 6: 25 February 2025: Volunteering and security

This morning you will spend 5 hours volunteering on a farm near the Israeli – Gaza border.

 

Later you will assist at BBQ for soldiers.

Day 7: 26 February 2025: Volunteering and stories of battle

This morning you will spend 5 hours volunteering on a farm near the Israeli – Gaza border. 

 

In the afternoon you will hear the story of a solider who served in Gaza.

Day 8: 27 February 2025: Volunteering and exploring Tel Aviv

This morning you will volunteer at Eran’s Angels in Tel Aviv. 

Later you will enjoy a walking tour in Tel Aviv and Jaffa.

Our mission ends this evening. We can provide transfers to Ben Gurion International AIrport or to your next stop in Israel.
