(1) A small group tour – the group size is capped at 12 passengers

(2) A “semi private tour” in which you receive a private tour guide on days 2, 3, 6 and 9 and join group tours on days 4, 5, 7 and 8

(3) A private tour – your own guide and transport throughout

Day 1: Welcome aboard!

Welcome to Israel. A representative of Pizazz Israel Tours will meet you at Ben Gurion International Airport and transfer you to Jerusalem.

Day 2: Bringing the Bible to Life

This morning you will tour the Jewish quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. You will see:
  • The room of the Last Supper;
  • The tomb of King David;
  • The broad wall built by King Hezekiah as described by the prophet Isaiah;
  • The Western Wall.

Exiting the Old City, you will continue to the City of David, where you will see the earliest Jewish settlement site in Jerusalem. Your tour will include what many scholars believe are the remnants of David’s palace, the water tunnel of King Hezekiah, and the Siloam Pool where Jesus healed a blind man.

Day 3 - The Holy Week

 Today you will explore the final week prior to Jesus’ crucifixion. You will begin at the Mount of Olives. Despairing of corruption in Jerusalem, Jesus instead camped out on the Mount, then just outside of the city. You will see where Jesus wept over the wickedness of the people, where He taught the Lord’s prayer, where He was betrayed and arrested, where He ascended to heaven 40 days after the Resurrection.
Entering the walls of the Old City, you will continue to the site where Pilate condemned Jesus, and see the Stations of the Cross leading to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. He Jesus was crucified and buried.

Day 4 - Masada and Dead Sea

 
This morning you will travel south into the Judean desert.  Your first stop will be Masada, the cliff top fortress of Herod the Great, the king who sought to murder all male babies to prevent prevent Jesus bringing salvation.
 
Ascending Masada you will view the magnificent suspended palace, the Roman bathhouses, the Jewish ritual baths, the enormous storage rooms, the ancient synagogue, the UNESCO listed Roman military siege system, and the destroyed walls. You will also hear the tale of heroes who chose death over forced idolatry.
 
Departing Masada you will continue to the Dead Sea, where you will enjoy the unique sensation of floating on water. In the evening, you will return to Jerusalem.

Day 5- Bethlehem and Jericho

This morning you will travel to Bethlehem, birthplace of Jesus. You will see:
  • The Church of the Nativity where Jesus was born;
  • The Milk Grotto where Mary fed Jesus;
  • the Shepherds’ Field; and
  • Manger Square.
In the afternoon you will continue to Jericho, the world’s oldest city. You will see the sycamore tree in which Zachaeus stood to view Christ, the Mount of Temptation where Satan tempted Jesus, and Hisham,’s palace, a centuries old royal dwelling.

Day 6 - Yad Vashem and Israel museum

 
This morning you will visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s famous Holocaust museum and memorial. You will see:
 
  • The Holocaust history museum;
  • the Hall of Names;
  • the Childrens’ Memorial; and
  • The Tent of remembrance.
Lunch will be at Jerusalem’s vibrant Mahane Yehuda market, before you make your way to the Israel museum. There you will see:
  • The Dead Sea Scrolls;
  • A large model of Jerusalem at the time of Jesus;
  • Numerous other historic artifacts.

Day 7 - Coastal Wonders

 
This morning you will depart Jerusalem and travel along Israel’s coast. Your first stop will be Caesarea, a magnificent Roman style city built by Herod the Great. You will see:
 
  • the chariot racing arena;
  • the theater;
  • the lavatorial system; and
  • Herod’s seaside palace.
Caesarea is also very significant to Christianity as the place of the Centurion Cornelius, Paul’s imprisonment, and the discovery of one of the most significant artifacts attesting to Pontius Pilate as a historic figure. 
 
Departing Caesarea you will continue to Acre, capital of the crusader kingdom, and Rosh Hanikra and its beautiful sea grottos.

Day 8 - Home of Christ

This morning you will explore Nazareth, Jesus’ home town. You will see the Basilica of the Annunciation where the angel Gabriel informed Mary of her pregnancy and where Jesus was miraculously conceived. You will also see St Joseph’s church, which is believed to stand on the site of Joseph’s carpentry workshop.
Crossing the Galilee you will pass the planes of Megiddo and Kfar Kana where Jesus turned water into wine, before reaching the Sea of Galilee. You will visit Capernaum where Jesus preached and see the still standing ancient synagogue, as well as the home of Peter. You will continue to the site of the sermon on the mount and site of the multiplication of the fishes and the loaves.
On your way south there will be a stop at the river Jordan and a chance for a baptism ceremony. We can also substitute one of the above sites for a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.
You will spend the night in Tel Aviv.

Day 9 - Israel's cultural capital

 
This morning you will explore Israel’s cultural capital, Tel Aviv.
 
You will start at Jaffa, the old city of Tel Aviv and possibly home to the world’s oldest port. You will see the Port, which is where Jonah boarded the ship by which he tried to flee God. You will continue to the home of Simon the Tanner and the site of one of Peter’s most significant visions.
 
In the afternoon you will learn about the development of modern Tel Aviv from Rothschild Boulevarde.

Day 10: Farewell

Today you will enjoy a day at leisure in Tel Aviv. Your tour ends this evening. We will provide an airport transfer.
